In the glass, this wine shows a deep ruby hue with subtle garnet reflections, hinting at both youth and seriousness. The nose opens with layered aromas of black cherry, blackcurrant, wild berries, and dark plum, lifted by notes of spice, forest floor, crushed stone, and a delicate smoky mineral edge. On the palate, it is full-bodied yet refined, with firm but polished tannins and a vibrant line of acidity that keeps the wine poised and energetic. Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Grand Cru pairs beautifully with dishes that complement its depth and structure, such as roast duck, venison, lamb, beef tenderloin, or mushroom-based preparations. It also works wonderfully with aged hard cheeses and truffle dishes. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decant for 1–2 hours if drinking young, though an older bottle may only need a gentle opening to allow the aromas to unfold.
