In the glass, the wine shows a deep ruby core with the graceful transparency typical of fine Burgundy. The nose is layered and expressive, opening with ripe cherry, raspberry, and subtle dark berry notes, lifted by floral nuances, gentle spice, and a distinctive earthy-mineral edge. On the palate, it is concentrated yet refined, with supple red fruit, elegant acidity, and velvety tannins that still provide structure and drive. The finish is long and composed, marked by a touch of spice and Gevrey-Chambertin’s signature mineral character. While beautifully drinkable now, it has the balance and backbone to evolve gracefully over the coming years.

Harvesting is typically carried out by hand at Domaine Armand Rousseau, followed by careful vinification aimed at preserving finesse, site expression, and the purity of the fruit.
