Balade Pinot Noir 2020 Magnum from Belle Glos is a richly styled California Pinot Noir sourced from a single vineyard close to the Pacific coast, where cool ocean breezes and generous sunshine create a rare balance of freshness and ripeness. Produced in very limited quantities, this restaurant-exclusive wine stands out for its depth, concentration, and luxurious personality. In the glass, it shows the kind of intensity that has made Belle Glos one of the most recognisable names in premium Pinot Noir.

Makuprofiili
The wine pours a deep blood-red color, hinting immediately at its concentrated style. On the nose, it opens with generous aromas of blackberry, raspberry tart, honeysuckle, rose petals, violets, and a playful note of Cherry Coke. The palate is juicy and layered, with baked cherry, fresh strawberry, cranberry, and a subtle touch of vanilla from the oak. Despite its richness, the wine retains enough coastal brightness to keep it lively and balanced. Thanks to its structure and concentration, it should age well over the medium term, gaining additional complexity over the next several years.

Viininvalmistus
This Pinot Noir comes from a single vineyard planted close to the Pacific coast, where the marine influence helps preserve freshness while the California sun ensures full ripeness. The grapes are naturally small due to the cooler conditions, resulting in lower yields but greater flavor concentration. Winemaker Joe Wagner destemmed the entire crop before pressing, then matured the wine for 12 months in French oak barrels, 60% of which were new, adding depth, spice, and polish.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
Serve this Pinot Noir slightly chilled at around 16-18°C. It pairs beautifully with duck, roast poultry, mushroom risotto, grilled salmon, or richer dishes with berry-based sauces. Decanting for 20-30 minutes can help open up the wine’s aromatic layers, especially in its youth.
