In the glass, the wine shows a deep ruby colour, hinting at its concentration and ripeness. The nose opens with dark berry fruit, black cherry, blueberry, dried flowers, espresso, dark chocolate, and subtle toasty oak, giving it both precision and warmth. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied with a muscular core of fruit, supple tannins, and fine acidity that keeps everything in balance. The finish is long and expansive, with excellent purity and detail. This is a wine with serious aging potential and should gain even more nuance and complexity over time, much like the great vintages that have come before it.

The wine comes from the 3.9-hectare Les Grèves monopole in Beaune, one of the most respected terroirs in the Côte de Beaune, where Pinot Noir benefits from well-drained soils and an ideal climate for producing structured yet elegant wines. Grapes are carefully harvested and vinified with a focus on preserving the character of the vineyard, using modern gravity-flow facilities that help handle the fruit gently and with precision.

This wine pairs beautifully with roast duck, game birds, beef tenderloin, veal, mushroom dishes, and rich poultry preparations. Serve it at around 16-18°C, and consider decanting for 30-60 minutes if opening young, to allow its aromatics and structure to fully unfold.
