Begali Lorenzo Veneto Rosso IGT Tigiolo 2018 is a powerful and characterful Veneto red that bridges two worlds: the richness of Amarone-style winemaking and the structure of classic Bordeaux varieties. Made by the next generation of the Begali family, it stands out for its intensity, depth, and unmistakably layered style, with a name that pays tribute to Tiliana and Giordano, the children now helping carry the family legacy forward.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby-red color that immediately signals concentration. The bouquet is expressive and inviting, with notes of blackcurrant, wild raspberry, liquorice, and subtle oak coming through in generous layers. On the palate, the wine is intense yet beautifully soft, offering a rich meeting point between Napa Valley Cabernet and Amarone-inspired ripeness. The dried-grape character adds texture and depth, while the French oak aging brings spice and structure. This is a wine with very good aging potential, and it should continue to develop complexity over the coming years.

Viininvalmistus
Tigiolo is made from 45% Corvina, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Rondinella, and 5% Merlot, sourced from Veneto and crafted in the Appassimento style, where the grapes are dried before pressing to intensify flavor and concentration. After fermentation, the wine is aged for 24 months in French oak barrels and then further matured in bottle, giving it added polish, spice, and a smoother overall profile.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This wine pairs beautifully with rich, savory dishes such as roasted beef, braised short ribs, game, mushroom risotto, and aged cheeses. Serve it at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for at least 1 hour to allow the dried-fruit aromas and oak-spice nuances to fully open up.
