In the glass, this wine shows a deep, dark ruby-red color that hints at its generous style. The nose opens with inviting aromas of boysenberry, dark cherry, mulberry, dill, cola, nutmeg, and vanilla, lifted by sweet oak spice. On the palate, it is intense and full-flavored, delivering layers of cranberry, ripe plum, strawberry, fig, and a subtle touch of cocoa. Despite its richness, the wine retains the freshness and energy that make Russian River Valley Pinot Noir so appealing. It can be enjoyed now for its lush, immediate charm, or cellared for around five years to gain additional complexity.

Viininvalmistus
Dairyman comes from a vineyard in the Russian River Valley, where warm, sunny conditions are balanced by cooling winds from the Pacific Ocean, helping preserve freshness in the grapes. The site was first planted in 2000 with Dijon clones of Pinot Noir, selected to bring both concentration and finesse. Winemaker Joe Wagner ages the wine for 9 months in French oak, with 60% new barrels, which adds texture, spice, and depth to the finished wine.

This is a great match for roasted duck, herb-crusted lamb, grilled salmon, wild mushroom risotto, or rich poultry dishes. Serve it slightly cool, ideally around 16–18°C, to bring out the wine’s balance and aromatic detail. Decanting for 20–30 minutes can help open up the fruit and soften the oak influence, especially if enjoyed young.
