In the glass, the wine shows a luminous golden color that hints at its generous style. The bouquet opens with inviting aromas of tart pastry crust, lightly toasted marshmallow, banana cream pie, and a touch of apple, creating a profile that feels both decadent and refined. On the palate, it delivers broad, appealing flavors of melon, apple, and buttery brioche, all carried by lively acidity and a subtle mineral thread. The texture is smooth and well balanced, with enough freshness to keep the wine energetic and focused. This Chardonnay should drink beautifully now, but it also has the structure to develop added complexity over the next few years.

Glasir Holt Vineyard lies close to the sea in northern California, on the western edge of Santa Rita Hills, where cool maritime influence, brisk days, and colder nights help preserve freshness and drive mineral expression. The site’s chalky character and elevated pH made it especially suitable for Chardonnay, even though Pinot Noir was originally considered for the vineyard. The grapes were hand-harvested and fermented in 10% concrete tanks and 90% new French oak barrels, then aged for 12 months before bottling, resulting in a wine that combines site transparency with polished oak depth.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Chardonnay pairs well with roasted chicken, lobster, creamy pasta dishes, seared scallops, and rich seafood such as halibut with beurre blanc. It also works beautifully with soft cheeses or dishes featuring mushrooms and roasted corn. Serve chilled at around 10–12°C, and a short decant of 15–20 minutes can help open up its aromatic richness, though it is not essential.
