The 2002 vintage is widely regarded as one of the great modern Champagne years, adding real prestige to this richly layered blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

In the glass, Bollinger R.D. 2002 shows a refined, luminous golden hue with a fine and persistent mousse. This Champagne pairs beautifully with refined dishes such as lobster, scallops, sushi, roast chicken with herbs, or truffled risotto, as well as aged hard cheeses and delicate mushroom-based plates. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C for the best expression of its aromatics and structure. Decanting is generally not necessary, though allowing it a little time in the glass can reveal even more complexity.
