Brewer-Clifton Pinot Noir Machado 2017

Brewer-Clifton Machado Pinot Noir is a beautifully refined expression of California Pinot Noir, crafted by acclaimed winemaker Greg Brewer. Sourced entirely from the Machado vineyard, it combines exceptional elegance with a distinctly pure fruit profile, shaped by sandy soils, cool conditions, and Brewer’s signature whole-cluster approach.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a vivid ruby-red color that immediately signals freshness and precision. The nose is lifted and expressive, with aromas of red cherry, raspberry, rhubarb, mint, and rose petals. The palate is youthful and vibrant, with a bright, natural energy that carries notes of blackberry, boysenberry, black tea, spice, and earthy undertones. The wine has excellent aging potential and is expected to reveal its full complexity after around 10 years, while comfortably holding its shape for at least 15.

Viininvalmistus
Made from fruit grown exclusively in the Machado vineyard in California, this Pinot Noir benefits from sandy soils and highly favorable wind and climate conditions that help preserve freshness and finesse. Greg Brewer fermented the wine with whole clusters, a hallmark of his style, and aged it exclusively in used barrels, allowing the fruit to remain the clear focus of the final wine.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Pinot Noir pairs naturally with duck, roasted poultry, mushroom dishes, grilled salmon, or earthy vegetarian plates such as lentil and beetroot dishes. Serve it slightly cool, ideally around 14-16°C, and consider a short decant if drinking it young to help open up its aromatic layers.
