Rather than following the more lavish style often associated with New World Pinot Noir, this wine shows a more elegant and terroir-driven interpretation.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a bright ruby-red color that hints at its lift and purity. The nose is fragrant and layered, offering raspberry, pomegranate, white tea, and floral notes, all delivered with clarity and poise. On the palate, the wine is lively and finely textured, with flavors of ripe cherry, white truffle, dried fig, tea leaf, and subtle spice. This wine is built from fruit grown in Sta. Rita Hills, one of California’s coolest and most distinctive regions for Pinot Noir, where marine influence and a long growing season help preserve acidity and aromatic detail. Grapes from the 3D, Machado, and Hapgood vineyards contribute different dimensions to the final blend. Brewer uses a significant portion of whole clusters during fermentation and matures the wine exclusively in used oak barrels, avoiding new oak so the fruit and site expression remain front and center.

A natural match for roast duck, duck breast with cherry sauce, mushroom risotto, grilled salmon, or poultry dishes with earthy components such as herbs and truffles. It also pairs well with dishes featuring root vegetables, lentils, or lightly seasoned game. Serve at around 14–16°C, and decanting is optional; a short aeration can help open the aromatics, but the wine does not require extended decanting.
