Cantina di Montalcino Rosso di Montalcino 2021 is a classic, no-nonsense expression of Sangiovese from one of Tuscany’s most celebrated wine towns. Fresh, fruit-driven, and effortlessly drinkable, it offers genuine Montalcino character with impressive value and a style best enjoyed while young.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a beautiful purple hue, leading into an aromatic profile of blackcurrant, red currant, red cherry, pepper, and earthy nuances. The nose is lively and inviting, with a bright, juicy personality that feels immediately open and appealing. On the palate, this is a dry, classically styled Rosso with a core of red fruit, subtle spice, and fine, light tannins that give the wine shape without weighing it down. It is balanced, свеж and approachable, with enough structure to keep it interesting. Best enjoyed within the first 5–6 years of its life.

Viininvalmistus
The Sangiovese fruit comes from the cooperative’s many small growers spread around the slopes of Montalcino, at varying elevations up to around 500 meters. Harvesting is done by hand, the grapes are fully destemmed before pressing, and after fermentation the wine spends 10 months in stainless steel tank followed by 3 months in bottle before release.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
A versatile, food-friendly red that works beautifully with Tuscan dishes, tomato-based pasta, grilled meats, roast chicken, charcuterie, and aged hard cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C, and decanting is optional but can help the wine open up if served young.

Cantina di Montalcino was founded in 1970 and remains the only cooperative of its kind in the Brunello zone. Today it unites 94 small growers farming about 160 hectares across the slopes of Montalcino, and its scattered vineyard holdings help create consistency from vintage to vintage. Since 2005, production has been led by Paolo Vaggini and Riccardo Pucci, whose modern, quality-focused approach has helped establish the cooperative as a respected name in the region.
