Made from hand-harvested fruit from Vigna del Castello and Vigna del Velo, and aged for three years in oak, it combines elegance, structure, and a clear sense of place. The Brunello name carries special weight here: 1441, the year the Tricerchi castle was founded, is woven into the identity of the wine.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this Brunello typically shows a deep ruby colour with garnet reflections, hinting at both youth and complexity. The nose is refined and layered, with red cherry, dried rose, wild herbs, and subtle notes of spice, leather, and oak adding depth. On the palate, it is poised and structured, with Sangiovese’s signature bright acidity, firm tannins, and flavours of sour cherry, plum, tobacco, and earthy spice. The oak ageing lends balance and polish without overpowering the fruit. This is a wine built to age gracefully, gaining further nuance over the next decade or more.

The grapes for this Brunello come from Vigna del Castello and Vigna del Velo, two carefully selected vineyard sites at Castello Tricerchi. The wine is made from 100% Sangiovese and crafted from handpicked fruit, ensuring only the best clusters make it into the final blend. After fermentation, it is aged for three years in durmast oak barrels, a traditional approach that supports structure, aromatic complexity, and long-term development while preserving the character of the terroir.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This wine is an excellent match for rich Tuscan dishes such as bistecca alla fiorentina, slow-braised beef, game, and pappardelle with wild boar ragù. It also pairs beautifully with aged hard cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C and, if possible, decant for at least one hour to allow the aromas and tannins to open fully.
