Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2021 is a bold, generously styled Napa classic that has made the winery one of the most recognisable names in American wine. Produced with a focus on ripe fruit, supple tannins and careful use of French oak, it delivers the rich, dark, opulent profile Caymus fans look for, while reflecting the Wagner family’s long Napa Valley heritage.

Makuprofiili
Deep purple to nearly black in the glass, this Cabernet is immediately striking for its concentration and intensity. The nose opens with crème de cassis, violet, dark chocolate and hints of lilac, anise and cardamom, setting the stage for a layered and expressive wine. On the palate, it is full-bodied and lush, with plenty of dark fruit, sweet tobacco, mocha, leather, cigar box, vanilla and a touch of sweet liquorice. The tannins are ripe and smooth rather than drying, giving the wine a rounded, polished texture. The finish is warm, spicy and persistent, and the wine has the structure and depth to develop beautifully over time — though it is also approachable now if you prefer its youthful richness.

Viininvalmistus
The grapes come from Napa Valley, a region celebrated for producing powerful, high-quality Cabernet Sauvignon. Caymus is known for leaving the fruit on the vines longer than usual to achieve exceptional ripeness and depth of flavour, though this approach always carries a degree of risk if the weather shifts early. The wine is matured with French oak used judiciously so the wood supports the fruit without overwhelming it.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is a natural match for richly flavoured dishes such as grilled ribeye, roast lamb, braised short ribs, beef tenderloin or a mature hard cheese. Serve at around 16–18°C. Decanting for about 1–2 hours is recommended, especially if opening young, to help the wine fully раскрыte its aromatic depth and supple structure.
