Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 50th Anniversary 2022 celebrates five decades of one of California’s most iconic Cabernet Sauvignons. Crafted by the Wagner family in Napa Valley, this special edition stays true to the house style: deeply concentrated fruit, lush texture, and beautifully integrated oak, all built from carefully chosen vineyard sites and ripe, late-harvested grapes. It is a tribute not only to a landmark vintage, but to 50 years of Caymus’ unmistakable approach to Napa Cabernet.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, the wine shows a deep purple hue, nearly opaque at the core. The nose is expressive and layered, with aromas of crème de cassis, violets, dark chocolate, and hints of lilac, anise, and cardamom. The palate is rich, full, and rounded, offering generous dark fruit, mocha, sweet tobacco, leather, vanilla, cigar box, and sweet licorice. The tannins are soft and polished rather than drying, giving the wine a smooth, velvety mouthfeel. Its long, warm, spiced finish suggests excellent aging potential, and it can be enjoyed now or allowed to evolve beautifully over the next 20 to 25 years.

Viininvalmistus
Sourced from carefully selected Napa Valley sites, this Cabernet reflects the region’s warm days, cool influences, and diverse soils that help build ripeness, depth, and structure. Caymus is known for working with old vines, low yields, minimal irrigation, and harvesting at extended ripeness to achieve its signature dark, concentrated style. The wine is matured with French oak in measured proportion so that the fruit remains front and center while gaining complexity and texture.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is a Cabernet built for rich dishes such as grilled ribeye, braised short ribs, roast lamb, venison, or hearty mushroom-based plates. It also works well with aged hard cheeses and dishes featuring black pepper, herbs, or reduction sauces. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decant for about 1–2 hours if drinking young to help the wine open fully.
