Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 50th Anniversary 2022 is a special release celebrating 50 years of Caymus’ iconic Cabernet production in Napa Valley. Crafted by the Wagner family, this wine captures the house style that has made Caymus one of California’s most admired names: deeply ripe fruit, luxurious texture, and a generous, crowd-pleasing profile.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a deep purple, almost black core that hints at its intensity. The nose opens with crème de cassis, violets, dark chocolate, and lifted notes of lilac, anise, and cardamom. The palate is rich and rounded, with layers of dark fruit, mocha, sweet tobacco, leather, vanilla, cigar box, and sweet liquorice. The tannins are supple and polished rather than dry or bitter, while the finish is warm, spicy, and persistent. This is a wine with excellent aging potential and can be enjoyed now or cellared for up to 25 years for even greater complexity.

Viininvalmistus
This anniversary bottling comes from carefully selected Napa Valley sites, including older vines and low-yielding vineyards, with minimal irrigation and fruit harvested at a high level of ripeness. The style reflects Caymus’ signature approach of extended hang time, allowing the grapes to develop exceptional concentration and deep color, while French oak is used judiciously to support rather than overshadow the fruit.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
Best served at 16–18°C and ideally decanted for 1–2 hours if drinking young. It pairs beautifully with grilled ribeye, braised short ribs, pepper-crusted steak, lamb, or rich mushroom dishes, as well as aged hard cheeses.
