Caymus Special Selection is the flagship Cabernet Sauvignon from Caymus Vineyards and one of California’s most coveted collector wines. Made only in exceptional vintages from the estate’s finest vineyard parcels, it has earned legendary status thanks to its concentration, depth, and unmistakably luxurious style. Notably, it is the only wine ever named Wine Spectator’s "Number One Wine in the World" twice, which only adds to its reputation among serious wine lovers.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this 2015 Magnum shows the richness and depth expected from a top-tier Napa Valley Cabernet, with a dark, saturated color that hints at its power. The nose opens gradually, revealing layers of black cherry, blueberry pie, boysenberry, tar, milk chocolate, and licorice, with the bouquet becoming more expressive after a little time in the glass. The palate is full-bodied, intense, and deeply polished, led by dark cherry, blueberry, raspberry liqueur, boysenberry, light chocolate shavings, and a subtle tar-like edge. Despite its immediate appeal, the wine has the structure and balance to evolve beautifully over time, and the magnum format will support even slower, more graceful aging.

This Special Selection is produced only when the fruit from Caymus’s best vineyard blocks reaches an exceptional level of ripeness and quality. Napa Valley’s warm, sun-drenched conditions help develop the plush fruit character and richness that define the wine, while careful selection ensures only the most complete lots make the final blend. Under the guidance of winemaker Chuck Wagner, the wine is crafted to deliver concentration, texture, and seamless integration.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Cabernet Sauvignon pairs beautifully with prime rib, ribeye steak, braised short ribs, grilled lamb, and other richly flavored dishes, as well as mature hard cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 1–2 hours if drinking young to help the aromatics fully open and the wine show its best.
