Caymus Red Schooner Voyage 10 is a striking Malbec that brings together the depth of Andes-grown fruit and the unmistakable richness of Caymus styling. Created by transporting carefully selected Malbec grapes from the mountains of South America to California, it offers a distinctive take on the variety—bold, plush, and beautifully polished. The concept is as memorable as the wine itself, with a name that nods to the ‘red schooner’ used to bring the fruit home.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this wine shows a deep, dark red colour that hints at its concentration. The nose is generous and expressive, with aromas of ripe plums, dates, wild flowers, and a subtle suede-like character. The palate is full and velvety, delivering layers of red and black plum, chocolate, leather, and a touch of smoke on the finish. It has the broad, generous texture associated with Caymus, balanced by soft tannins and a smooth, inviting mouthfeel. While already delicious now, it should also hold well over the medium term thanks to its richness and structure.

Viininvalmistus
Red Schooner is made from Malbec grapes grown in the Andes, where cooler mountain conditions and high-altitude vineyards help develop ripe flavour while retaining freshness and balance. The fruit is harvested with careful selection to ensure only top-quality grapes make the journey, then shipped to Caymus Vineyards in California. There, winemaker Charlie Wagner crafts the wine using the same approach as Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon, including French oak influence and a focus on plush texture, concentration, and seamless tannin integration.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is a wine that pairs naturally with richly flavoured dishes such as grilled ribeye, slow-braised short ribs, lamb, beef tenderloin, or mushroom-based plates. It also works well with hard cheeses and dark chocolate desserts. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 30–60 minutes to let the aromas open and the wine soften further.
