Caymus Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 50th Anniversary 2022 is a celebration of one of California’s most recognisable Cabernet houses, presented here in a generous 1-litre format. Marking 50 years of Caymus winemaking in Napa Valley, this special release reflects the rich, plush style that has made the estate a benchmark for fans of opulent Napa Cabernet.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, the wine shows a deep purple-black colour that immediately signals intensity and concentration. The nose opens with crème de cassis, violets and dark chocolate, layered with notes of lilac, anise and cardamom. The palate is full-bodied, round and generous, offering abundant dark fruit, mocha, sweet tobacco, leather, cigar box, vanilla and sweet liquorice. The tannins are ripe and supple rather than dry or bitter, giving the wine a smooth, velvety feel. A warm, spiced finish lingers beautifully, and the wine has the depth and structure to evolve gracefully for many years—though it is already highly enjoyable now.

Viininvalmistus
This anniversary bottling comes from carefully selected Napa Valley sites, including old vines, low-yield farming and minimal irrigation, all aimed at achieving intense flavour concentration. The grapes are harvested at a high level of ripeness to capture the hallmark Caymus style, while French oak is used in measured amounts so the fruit remains front and centre.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
Best served at around 16–18°C, this Cabernet is a natural match for richly flavoured dishes such as ribeye steak, slow-braised short ribs, grilled lamb or beef tenderloin. It also pairs well with aged hard cheeses and dishes with earthy mushroom or truffle elements. Decanting for 1–2 hours is recommended if enjoyed young, to let the wine fully open.
