Ceritas Costalina Pinot Noir 2021

Ceritas Costalina Pinot Noir 2021 is a vivid and approachable expression of the West Sonoma Coast, offering a great introduction to what Ceritas does best. Built from fruit grown across Hellenthal, Elliot, Occidental, and Porter-Bass, it combines coastal freshness, finesse, and a distinctly site-driven character. In the glass, it reflects the thoughtful, hands-on farming and careful winemaking that have made Ceritas a standout name in California.

Makuprofiili
The wine shows a bright, elegant profile with lifted red fruit and a clear coastal energy. Aromas of raspberry, red cherry, blueberry, licorice, tobacco, and flowers rise from the glass, giving it both freshness and subtle complexity. On the palate, red cherry, pomegranate, and cranberry lead the way, supported by dried spices, a fine mineral edge, and lively acidity. The texture is supple but focused, making it especially appealing now while still having the structure to age gracefully for at least another 7 to 8 years.

Viininvalmistus
Costalina is sourced from multiple vineyards in the West Sonoma Coast, where cool maritime conditions help preserve acidity and create a refined, expressive Pinot Noir. All grapes are hand-harvested, and 15% of the fruit is fermented as whole clusters without destemming, adding aromatic lift and complexity. Fermentation lasts 15 days, followed by 16 months in oak barrels, of which 15% are new, allowing the wine to gain polish without losing its coastal character.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Pinot Noir pairs beautifully with roast duck, grilled salmon, mushroom dishes, pork tenderloin, or earthy vegetarian plates such as lentil and beetroot-based recipes. Serve slightly chilled at around 14–16°C, and consider a short decant if opening young, though it is also very enjoyable straight from the bottle.
