Champagne Agrapart et Fils Vénus Grand Cru 2016 is a striking Blanc de Blancs made entirely from Chardonnay and crafted as a Brut Nature, with no dosage to soften its pure, precise character. Sourced from a single Grand Cru vineyard in Avize—Fosse aux Pourceaux—this is a deeply site-driven Champagne that reflects both the elegance of the village and the producer’s commitment to natural, minimal-intervention winemaking. As a vintage Champagne, it also captures the personality of the 2016 harvest, making it a particularly expressive and distinctive release.

In the glass, Vénus typically shows a bright, refined pale gold color with a lively, persistent mousse. The nose is focused and mineral, with aromas of citrus peel, white flowers, green apple, crushed chalk, and subtle brioche or almond notes that emerge with air. On the palate, it is linear and energetic, combining tense acidity with a creamy but very dry texture. Flavors of lemon zest, orchard fruit, saline minerality, and chalky depth lead to a long, precise finish. With its structure and balance, this Champagne has strong aging potential and should evolve gracefully over the next several years, gaining complexity and depth while preserving its freshness.

Viininvalmistus
Vénus comes from a single vineyard in Avize, one of Champagne’s most respected Grand Cru villages, where chalk-rich soils and a cool climate help Chardonnay develop tension, finesse, and mineral precision. The parcel Fosse aux Pourceaux is farmed with a focus on natural processes, and the wine is produced as a vintage cuvée only in selected years. The Champagne is disgorged shortly before release and bottled without dosage, allowing the terroir and vintage character to come through with maximum clarity.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Champagne pairs beautifully with oysters, sashimi, lobster, shellfish, delicate poultry, or refined vegetable dishes where freshness and minerality can shine. It is best served well chilled, around 8–10°C, to highlight its precision and lift. Decanting is generally not necessary, but allowing it a few minutes in the glass can help the wine open and reveal its layered aromatics.
