Champagne Jean Laurent La Griffe de l'Ource Blanc de Blancs 2009 Magnum is a limited-production cuvée that captures the elegance and precision of great vintage Champagne. Made entirely from Chardonnay, it delivers the hallmark Jean Laurent style: character, finesse, mineral depth, and a beautifully measured sense of balance. With only 375 cases produced, this is a rare release from one of Champagne’s most distinctive growers.

In the glass, it shows a brilliant golden hue that hints at its maturity and richness. The nose opens with layered aromas of orange blossom, yellow apple, dried white cherries, and wholegrain toast, creating an immediately inviting and complex bouquet. On the palate, this Blanc de Blancs moves with confidence and precision, balancing fresh citrus-driven energy with deeper notes of brioche, orchard fruit, and mineral tension. The vintage character gives it real breadth and complexity, while the magnum format supports graceful development over time. It is already compelling, but it should continue to gain nuance with further cellaring.
