This wine comes from Sanford & Benedict Vineyard in Santa Barbara County, one of California’s most historic Chardonnay sites, with vines planted in 1971. The vineyard’s cool coastal influence and distinctive soils help shape the wine’s mineral, focused character. After gentle pressing, the wine was aged on its lees in French oak barrels for 15 months before being bottled unfined and unfiltered, preserving texture and purity.
