Château Batailley 2019 Magnum is a classic Pauillac from one of the Médoc’s oldest and most respected estates, offering the depth and structure collectors expect from a Grand Cru Classé. This magnum format is especially appealing for cellaring, allowing the wine to evolve slowly and gracefully while showcasing the estate’s signature blend of power, precision, and elegance. Makuprofiili
In the glass, Château Batailley 2019 shows a deep, dark ruby color that hints at its concentrated fruit and serious structure. The nose is expressive and refined, with cassis, blackberry, graphite, licorice, tobacco leaf, and earthy notes that bring unmistakable Pauillac character. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied with a generous core of black fruit, lively freshness, and firm, powdery tannins that give it real backbone. Layers of dark berry fruit, cracked black pepper, loamy earth, and cedar unfold into a long, focused finish. This is a wine with excellent aging potential and will reward patience over the next decade or more.

Viininvalmistus
The vineyards of Château Batailley are planted on classic Pauillac terroir, with gravel, sand, and clay soils that provide excellent drainage and help Cabernet Sauvignon thrive. The estate’s old vines and carefully managed parcels contribute to the wine’s depth and consistency, while harvest decisions are made to preserve balance, ripeness, and freshness. Vinification is carried out with the aim of expressing the structure and elegance typical of left-bank Bordeaux, followed by aging in oak to build complexity and polish the tannins.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
Château Batailley 2019 Magnum is a natural partner for lamb, ribeye steak, venison, duck breast, and richly flavored dishes with mushroom or truffle accents. It also works beautifully with aged hard cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 1–2 hours when drinking young to allow the wine to open fully and soften its tannins.
