Château Brane-Cantenac 2021

Château Brane-Cantenac 2021 is a beautifully composed Margaux from one of the appellation’s most respected 2ème Cru Classé estates. Under the direction of Henri Lurton, the wine combines precision, elegance, and depth, drawing its character from clay-and-gravel plateau parcels that give it both immediate charm and serious ageing potential.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a deep, polished ruby tone that hints at the wine’s concentration and class. The bouquet is refined and layered, with aromas of blackcurrant, dark berries, violet, graphite, and subtle herbal notes that gradually unfold with air. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with concentrated fruit, silky tannins, and a finely etched mineral line that keeps everything fresh and focused. The finish is long and graceful, with the balance and structure to develop beautifully over many years in bottle.

Viininvalmistus
The blend is led by Cabernet Sauvignon, supported by Merlot and smaller amounts of Cabernet Franc, with grapes harvested between 23 September and 7 October. The vines are rooted in Margaux’s prized clay-gravel soils, which help deliver both aromatic finesse and structural tension. After careful vinification, the wine matured for around 18 months in 100% new French oak barrels, a regimen that adds polish, concentration, and subtle oak complexity while preserving the clarity of the terroir.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is an excellent match for roast lamb, entrecôte, duck breast, game birds, or mushroom-based dishes, where its structure and elegance can really shine. Serve at 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 1–2 hours if drinking young, especially to allow the aromatics and texture to open fully.
