Château Cos d'Estournel 2010

Château Cos d'Estournel 2010 is a superb Saint-Estèphe red from one of Bordeaux’s most celebrated estates, ranked as a 2nd Growth in the 1855 Classification. The 2010 vintage is widely regarded as exceptional, combining the concentration and structure of a powerful year with the finesse and precision that define this grand cru.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, the wine shows a deep, almost opaque ruby colour that hints at its intensity and depth. The bouquet is complex and layered, offering blackcurrant, ripe dark plum, cedar, graphite, and exotic spice, all unfolding with impressive definition. On the palate, it is rich, concentrated, and beautifully structured, with silky yet firm tannins carrying the wine through a long, persistent finish. While it is already impressive now, Château Cos d'Estournel 2010 has outstanding ageing potential and can continue to evolve over several decades, gaining further nuance and complexity with time.

Viininvalmistus
Produced in Saint-Estèphe on Bordeaux’s Left Bank, Château Cos d'Estournel benefits from gravelly and well-drained terroir that is ideally suited to Cabernet Sauvignon, supported by Merlot for added depth and suppleness. The grapes are carefully harvested and vinified with a focus on preserving purity, structure, and aromatic complexity, resulting in a wine of precision and longevity.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is a wine that pairs beautifully with slow-braised beef, lamb, venison, game birds, and rich mushroom dishes, as well as aged hard cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decant for several hours if drinking now to allow the wine to open fully and soften its tannins.
