Château Haut-Pauillac 2017

Château Haut-Pauillac 2017 is a classic Bordeaux from one of the most celebrated names in Pauillac, offering the depth and structure you’d expect from the appellation. After five years in the cool cellars of the Peyronie family, it is now showing in excellent condition, with the added reassurance of provenance and perfect storage direct from the château.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, expect a deep ruby colour with garnet reflections beginning to emerge at the rim. The nose typically opens with blackcurrant, dark cherry, cedar, tobacco leaf, and a touch of graphite, layered with subtle oak spice and earthy notes. The palate is likely to be firm yet polished, with Cabernet Sauvignon bringing structure, Cabernet Franc adding lift, and Merlot softening the mid-palate. It should show ripe black fruit, savoury complexity, fine tannins, and a fresh mineral backbone that is characteristic of Pauillac. This is a wine with further ageing potential, though it is already entering a very appealing drinking window.

This wine comes from Pauillac in Bordeaux, a terroir known for gravel-rich soils that drain well and help Cabernet-driven blends achieve concentration, finesse, and ageworthiness. The grapes are typically harvested with careful parcel selection to preserve balance and ripeness, followed by traditional Bordeaux vinification with fermentation and maturation designed to maintain structure, purity, and regional character.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
Serve Château Haut-Pauillac 2017 at around 16–18°C with roast lamb, entrecôte, beef tenderloin, duck breast, or game dishes such as venison. It also pairs well with hard cheeses and mushroom-based dishes. Decanting for 1–2 hours is recommended to allow the wine to खुल fully and soften its tannins.
