Medium to deep garnet in the glass, this vintage opens with layered aromas of kirsch, black cherry preserves, and chocolate box notes, lifted by hints of unsmoked cigars, dried mint, and star anise. The bouquet is both sensual and complex, offering the kind of depth that develops beautifully with time in bottle. On the palate, it is full-bodied, rich, and opulently fruited, with vivid red fruit accents carried by a finely grained structure. The finish is long, lively, and impeccably balanced, suggesting excellent aging potential. While already compelling, it should continue to evolve gracefully over many years, gaining further nuance and tertiary complexity.

Viininvalmistus
La Fleur-Pétrus comes from a historic Pomerol estate now totaling around 18 hectares, planted predominantly to Merlot with smaller amounts of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The vineyards are managed by the Moueix family, whose deep experience in Bordeaux has helped shape the wine’s refined style. Since the 2013 harvest, vinification has taken place at nearby Château Hosanna, while part of the aging still occurs in the traditional cellar at La Fleur-Pétrus, reflecting a balance of modern efficiency and old-world heritage.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This wine is an excellent match for roast lamb, beef fillet, duck breast, truffle dishes, and richly flavored mushroom preparations. It also pairs beautifully with aged hard cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C, and decant for 1–2 hours if drinking young to allow the aromatics and texture to fully open up.
