Château Lafite Rothschild 1998

Château Lafite Rothschild is located in Pauillac, in the heart of the Médoc on Bordeaux’s Left Bank, where gravel-rich soils contribute to the wine’s trademark finesse and structure. The estate follows traditional methods with strict yield control, manual harvesting, and extensive hand work throughout the vineyard, while chemical fertilizers are used sparingly in favor of careful organic practices. The Grand Vin is made only from the best parcels and reflects the estate’s meticulous selection and classical vinification approach.

This wine pairs beautifully with refined dishes such as roast lamb, beef tenderloin, duck breast, game birds, truffle-based recipes, and aged hard cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C for the best expression of its aromatics and structure. Decanting is recommended, especially if opening now, to allow the wine to open fully and reveal its layers of complexity.
