Château Lagrange 1990

Château Lagrange 1990 is a beautifully mature Saint-Julien from one of Bordeaux’s most respected Third Growth estates. In the glass, the wine shows a deep ruby hue with a mature edge, hinting at its evolution over time. The nose is graceful and layered, with subtle floral notes, spice, sweet oak, blackberry, cassis, smoke, underbrush, and a fresh mineral line, all woven together with remarkable harmony. The palate is full-bodied and richly textured, yet finely balanced. Ripe raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, peppermint, and black licorice unfold across a core of velvety tannins and impressive depth. The finish is long, polished, and persistent, with the wine now at full maturity but still offering the structure to remain rewarding for years to come.

Château Lagrange sits in the prestigious Saint-Julien appellation on the Left Bank of Bordeaux, between Margaux and Pauillac, where its vineyards are planted on two gravel-covered hills of Günzian gravel, including one of the highest points in Saint-Julien AOC. The estate’s historic parcels remain the same as those classified in 1855, reflecting the consistency and pedigree of the terroir. Ruoka & tarjoilu
