Château Lagrange 1990 in Dobbelt Magnum is a powerful, cellar-worthy red from one of Bordeaux’s most respected names, offering impressive scale and maturity. Built around Cabernet Franc, it stands out for its deep structure, dark fruit intensity, and the kind of concentrated complexity that has made great 1990 Bordeaux wines so sought after. A vintage now celebrated for its depth and longevity, this wine reflects the era at its most generous and ageworthy.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a dark ruby colour with the kind of depth you expect from a serious, fully developed Bordeaux. The nose is expressive and layered, with aromas of blackberries, currants, cherries, and mineral notes unfolding into darker hints of licorice and earth. On the palate, it is full-bodied, firmly tannic, and yet remarkably velvety in texture. The fruit remains vivid, supported by a chewy, long finish where berry and black licorice notes linger with intensity. While beautifully mature now, the Dobbelt Magnum format offers excellent aging potential, helping preserve freshness and structure for further cellaring.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is a natural match for rich, flavourful dishes such as roast beef, lamb shoulder, braised short ribs, venison, or duck confit. It also pairs beautifully with truffle dishes, mushroom-based sauces, and mature hard cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 1–2 hours if opening now, especially to allow the wine’s structure and aromatics to fully open.
