Château Maillet Pomerol 2018

Château Maillet Pomerol is a supple and charming red from one of Bordeaux’s most respected Right Bank appellations, known for producing wines with depth, elegance, and a beautifully textured palate. Combining ripe dark fruit, earthy truffle notes, and a refined cedar nuance, it offers a polished expression of Pomerol that feels both luxurious and approachable.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this wine shows a deep ruby-red color with inviting intensity. The nose opens with aromas of mature black fruits, truffle, and a subtle cedarwood character, layered with a graceful sense of finesse that adds complexity without heaviness. On the palate, it is full-bodied and beautifully balanced, with silky tannins and a rounded, smooth texture that carries the fruit through to a long, persistent finish. The wine already shows excellent harmony, but it should continue to develop additional depth and nuance with a few more years in bottle.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is an excellent match for roast lamb, beef tenderloin, duck breast, mushroom dishes, and rich preparations with truffle or herbal sauces. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 30–60 minutes if the wine is young to help open up its aromatic complexity.
