Château Ormes de Pez 2009 is a standout Saint-Estèphe bottling that shows just how impressive the estate can be in a great vintage. Praised by Robert Parker as one of the finest Ormes de Pez wines in decades, it combines generous Cabernet Franc-driven fruit with a refined, earthy complexity and a remarkably polished texture.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this wine is opaque and deep purple, hinting at its concentration and depth. The nose opens with pure crème de cassis, layered with subtle notes of charcoal, smoke, and crushed stones, giving it both richness and a distinctly mineral edge. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, showing ripe black fruit, freshness, and a soft, layered mouthfeel that makes the wine feel both powerful and approachable. The finish is long and harmonious, with enough structure to support further aging, and it should continue to drink beautifully over the next 10–15 years from its peak.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is a natural match for classic red wine fare such as roast lamb, beef tenderloin, duck breast, or game dishes, as well as mushroom-based recipes and mature hard cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 1–2 hours if opening now to allow the wine to fully раскры its aromatics and texture.
