Château Pavie Aromes de Pavie 2022

Château Pavie Arômes de Pavie 2022 is the approachable second wine of the esteemed Château Pavie, one of Saint-Émilion’s most celebrated names. Crafted primarily from Merlot and Cabernet Franc, it offers the depth and character of Bordeaux Right Bank terroir in a more immediately generous, fruit-forward style.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby colour that hints at its ripe, structured profile. The nose is expressive and inviting, with aromas of red and dark berries, cherry and plum, lifted by subtle floral tones and a touch of spice. On the palate, the wine is round and elegant, with supple tannins, balanced acidity and a harmonious shape that carries a lingering, fruit-driven finish. While enjoyable now for its freshness and accessibility, it should also gain a little extra complexity with short-term cellaring.

Viininvalmistus
Produced in Saint-Émilion on Bordeaux’s famed Right Bank, Arômes de Pavie reflects the limestone- and clay-influenced terroir that has long been associated with finely textured, Merlot-led wines. The grapes are harvested with care and vinified to preserve purity of fruit, finesse and balance, resulting in a wine that mirrors the style of the grand vin while remaining more approachable in its youth.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
A versatile partner at the table, this wine works well with roast poultry, duck, lamb, venison and other richly flavoured meats, as well as mature cheeses. Serve at around 16-18°C, and decant briefly if drinking young to help the aromas open up.
