Château Tertre Roteboeuf 2005 in magnum format is a remarkable Saint-Émilion red from one of Bordeaux’s most distinctive estates. Produced by François Mitjavile, it stands out for its richness, sensual texture, and exceptional critical acclaim, with the 2005 vintage widely regarded as one of the estate’s finest and most profound wines.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, the wine shows a deep ruby-purple color that hints at its concentration and power. The nose is intensely perfumed, offering layers of sweet blackcurrants, jammy cherries, licorice, and warm spice, all delivered with impressive depth and precision. On the palate, it is full-bodied and opulent, with high but beautifully polished tannins that give the wine its velvety structure. The finish is long and persistent, and while it can already be approached, this is a wine with excellent aging potential, easily rewarding extended cellaring for two decades or more.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is an excellent match for richly flavored dishes such as roast lamb, beef tenderloin, duck breast, venison, or slow-braised short ribs. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 1–2 hours if drinking young to help the wine open fully and soften its powerful structure.
