Cliff Lede Rock Block Series Magic Nights 2018 is a bold, music-inspired Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley’s acclaimed Stags Leap District, crafted with the kind of precision and personality that has made Cliff Lede a standout producer. Built around fruit from the vineyard blocks named after legendary rock songs, this wine blends 94% Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot for depth, structure, and complexity. It’s a striking example of how site, winemaking, and a little rock-and-roll spirit can come together in a wine with real character.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this 2018 shows a deep, насыщ rich color that hints at its concentration and power. The aromatics are expansive and inviting, with cherry, blackberry, pencil lead, vanilla, black licorice, oak, and a subtle asphalt-like mineral edge rising from the glass. On the palate, ripe red cherry and blackberry lead the way, followed by notes of dark chocolate, dried fig, Granny Smith apple, green pepper, and crushed stone minerality. The texture is powerful and layered, with a long, persistent finish that lingers well after each sip. This is a wine built for cellaring, and it should continue to gain nuance and complexity over time.

Viininvalmistus
The Cabernet Sauvignon for this cuvée comes from the Sunshine Of Your Love block in the Poetry Vineyard, while the Petit Verdot is sourced from the Scarlet Begonias section of the Twin Peaks Vineyard. These vineyard parcels sit in the Stags Leap District, an area known for producing Cabernet Sauvignon with both richness and elegance, thanks to its distinctive Napa terroir and strong diurnal shifts. The grapes are carefully harvested and vinified under the direction of winemaker Christopher Tynan, whose approach emphasizes both precision and varietal expression.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is a natural match for grilled ribeye, braised short ribs, lamb chops, venison, or richly flavored mushroom dishes. It also pairs beautifully with aged hard cheeses and dark chocolate desserts. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for at least 1 hour, especially if opening it young, to help the wine fully open up and show its layered aromatics.
