Cristom Mt. Jefferson Cuvée Pinot Noir 2021 is a beautifully expressive Pinot Noir from Oregon’s Willamette Valley, showcasing the region’s signature balance of purity, elegance, and complexity. Named after one of the valley’s most iconic peaks, this cuvée captures the style that has made Cristom one of the most respected producers in Oregon—bright red fruit, refined structure, and a distinctly earthy edge rooted in classic Pinot Noir tradition.

In the glass, this 2021 Pinot Noir shows a light ruby-red colour that hints at its freshness and finesse. The nose opens with vibrant aromas of cherry, strawberry, and raspberry, layered with warm spice and subtle forest-floor notes that add depth and intrigue. On the palate, it is graceful and well-balanced, with juicy red berry flavours, gentle spice, and a touch of toasted oak adding complexity without overpowering the fruit. The tannins are soft, the body sits between light and medium, and the bright acidity keeps everything lifted and harmonious. This is a wine that can be enjoyed now for its energy and charm, but it also has the structure to develop nicely with short to medium-term cellaring.

The fruit is typically sourced from thoughtfully farmed vineyard sites across the valley, with harvest carried out to preserve freshness and aromatic precision. Vinification is carried out to emphasize purity of fruit, textural elegance, and the layered complexity that has become a hallmark of Cristom’s style.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Pinot Noir pairs especially well with grilled salmon, roast chicken, mushroom dishes, duck, and other savoury plates that complement its red fruit and earthy notes. Serve it slightly chilled, ideally around 14–16°C, to keep the wine lively and aromatic. Decanting is not strictly necessary, but a brief aeration can help open up the wine if enjoyed young.
