Domaine Bois de Boursan Cuvée des Félix 2000 is a benchmark Châteauneuf-du-Pape from the heart of the Rhône, crafted with a steadfast respect for tradition and terroir. Made from old vines, led by Grenache and supported by Mourvèdre and Syrah, it draws from some of the appellation’s finest parcels. The 2000 vintage is widely regarded as one of the great years in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and this cuvée captures its depth, elegance, and lasting character beautifully.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, the wine shows a deep, dark ruby colour that reflects both concentration and maturity. The bouquet is intense and layered, opening with black cherry, cassis, and blackberry, followed by dried herbs, liquorice, leather, and a subtle hint of fennel, with underlying notes of tapenade and garrigue that bring an unmistakable southern French identity. On the palate, it is full-bodied and powerful, yet remarkably harmonious and balanced. Dark fruit, spice, and a gentle smoky edge unfold over mature tannins and fresh acidity, giving the wine structure, lift, and excellent length. The finish is long and elegant, marked by mineral and herbal nuances. Although already beautifully evolved, it still has room to develop further and can continue aging toward 2030 and beyond.

Viininvalmistus
This cuvée comes from old-vine parcels in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, where the region’s warm Mediterranean climate and stony soils help produce wines of concentration, ripeness, and signature herbal complexity. The grapes are harvested from carefully selected sites, with Grenache forming the core of the blend and Mourvèdre and Syrah adding structure, freshness, and aromatic depth. Vinification is carried out in a traditional style, with the emphasis on preserving the identity of the fruit and the character of the terroir rather than heavy extraction or overt oak influence.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is an ideal wine for rich, flavourful dishes such as lamb, game, or beef tenderloin, where its depth and complexity can fully shine. Serve at 15–16°C, and consider decanting it to allow the aromas and layers to open more fully, especially given its age.
