Domaine Chanzy Montagny 1er Cru 2023 is a classic white Burgundy from the Côte Chalonnaise, made from 100% Chardonnay sourced from carefully selected Premier Cru parcels. Aged for 16 months, including 12 months in oak, it brings together the freshness you expect from Montagny with the layered complexity and finesse that make Burgundy so compelling.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, the wine shows a clear golden hue with an elegant, supple viscosity. The nose is expressive and inviting, offering notes of pineapple, white peach, and citrus, lifted by floral nuances and gently framed by subtle vanilla and toasted almond from the oak. On the palate, it is harmonious and generous, with a creamy texture, vibrant minerality, and a long, refined finish marked by citrus and a touch of hazelnut. It is enjoyable now for its balance and immediacy, but it also has the structure to develop additional complexity through around 2030.

Produced from Premier Cru vineyards in Montagny within Burgundy’s Côte Chalonnaise, the wine reflects a terroir known for producing precise, mineral-driven Chardonnay with excellent freshness. The grapes are harvested from carefully chosen parcels, and the wine is then vinified and matured over 16 months, with 12 months in oak barrels to add texture, depth, and subtle spice while preserving the grape’s natural brightness.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This wine pairs beautifully with fish and shellfish, poultry in creamy sauces, and mild cheeses such as Comté. Serve chilled at 10–12 °C. Decanting is not essential, though a short aeration can help reveal its aromatic detail if served young.
