Domaine Chanzy Rully 1er Cru Marissou 2023 is a beautifully focused white Burgundy that shows just how expressive the Côte Chalonnaise can be. Often described as a small jewel of Rully, it combines ripe Chardonnay fruit with refined minerality, lending the wine both depth and elegance.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a bright golden colour with a subtle green hue. The nose opens with notes of apricot, quince, vanilla, and a gentle touch of toast, rounded out by a faint floral lift. The palate is generous yet precise, with a smooth, textured mouthfeel balanced by fresh, well-defined acidity. Mineral tension and a delicate saline finish give the wine energy and length, while the oak adds subtle structure without overpowering the fruit. This is a wine that can be enjoyed now for its charm and clarity, but it should also develop nicely over the coming years.

Viininvalmistus
Marissou lies slightly elevated above Rully, with marl-limestone and clay-limestone soils that help shape the wine’s balance of ripe fruit and firm mineral character. The wine is aged for 10 months in 228-litre French oak barrels, 30% of which are new, followed by 5 months in stainless steel to bring together structure, freshness, and finesse.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Premier Cru Chardonnay pairs especially well with roast chicken, lobster, creamy shellfish dishes, poultry in sauce, and fine hard cheeses. Serve it at 10–12°C to show its texture and aromatic complexity. Decanting is not essential, though a short aeration can be beneficial if opened young.
