Domaine Chanzy Rully La Crée Blanc 2022

Domaine Chanzy Rully La Crée Blanc 2022 is a beautifully poised Chardonnay from southern Burgundy that captures the richness and refinement many wine lovers look for in a fine Meursault-style white. Sourced from the La Crée vineyard in Rully, it combines ripe fruit, elegance, and a distinct limestone-driven mineral edge, making it both approachable and impressively detailed.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a pale golden hue that hints at its richness. The nose opens with aromas of white peach, lemon zest, butter, honey, orange blossom, and a delicate touch of flint. On the palate, the wine delivers impressive depth and intensity, balanced by fresh acidity and a supple, rounded texture. The finish is long and notably mineral, leaving a refined, terroir-driven impression. While already expressive now, it should also develop added complexity over the next few years.

Viininvalmistus
La Crée comes from Rully in Burgundy, a commune just south of more famous white-wine villages, with limestone-rich soils that lend the wine its precision, minerality, and complexity. The fruit is vinified by winemaker Max Blondelle and aged for 10 months in large 228-liter French oak barrels, followed by a further 5 months in stainless steel to preserve freshness and fine-tune the final balance.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Chardonnay pairs beautifully with roasted poultry, creamy seafood dishes, lobster, veal in a light sauce, or mature cheeses such as Comté. Serve it chilled at around 10-12°C, and decanting is generally not necessary, though a brief aeration can help if opened young.
