Domaine Chanzy Rully La Crée Blanc 2023 Magnum is a beautifully expressive Burgundy Chardonnay that offers a compelling mix of richness, precision, and mineral drive. Often described as a mini-Meursault, it comes from the La Crée site in Rully, where limestone-rich soils help deliver a style that feels both generous and elegantly restrained.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, the wine shows a pale golden hue that hints at its depth and texture. The nose opens with white peach, lemon zest, butter, honey, orange blossom, and a subtle flinty edge. On the palate, it is layered and intense, yet kept fresh by a fine line of acidity. The finish is long and distinctly mineral, with terroir-driven length that gives the wine real character. While already appealing in youth, this Chardonnay has the structure to develop gracefully over the next few years.

Viininvalmistus
La Crée is a limestone-leaning vineyard site in Rully, just south of Meursault, and its soils are central to the wine’s balance of richness and finesse. The grapes are vinified with the aim of preserving this terroir expression, then matured for 10 months in large 228-liter French oak barrels and a further 5 months in stainless steel to refine the texture and finish.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This wine pairs naturally with roast chicken, pan-seared fish, shellfish, creamy poultry dishes, and aged hard cheeses. Serve it at around 10–12°C, and while decanting is not essential, a short aeration can help bring out its aromatic complexity, especially in magnum format.
