Domaine de la Romanée-Conti’s Romanée-Conti 2015 is one of Burgundy’s most coveted wines and a benchmark for fine Pinot Noir. Sourced from one of the world’s most legendary Grand Cru vineyards, it combines extraordinary finesse, depth, and precision in a way that few wines can match. The vineyard’s history stretches back to the 13th century, adding a sense of rarity and legacy to every bottle.

In the glass, the wine is luminous and refined, with a graceful intensity rather than overt power. The bouquet is exceptionally complex, unfolding with red cherry, raspberry, wild strawberry, rose petal, peony, blood orange, and subtle spice, all lifted by a mineral freshness that speaks to its origin. On the palate, it is silky, medium to full-bodied, and impeccably balanced, with ultra-fine tannins and a layered core of delicate red fruit. Despite its concentration and persistence, the wine feels weightless and seamless, finishing with remarkable harmony and length. This is a wine built for long aging, and while it is already captivating, it should continue to develop beautifully for decades.

Viininvalmistus
Romanée-Conti is a tiny Grand Cru site in Vosne-Romanée, planted on exceptional Burgundy terroir that favors elegance, perfume, and detail over sheer volume. The vines are farmed organically, with biodynamic principles increasingly influencing vineyard work, and yields are kept extremely low through meticulous selection and strict pruning. The 2015 vintage was harvested by hand on September 10, at an exceptionally low yield of around 22 hectoliters per hectare, then vinified with minimal intervention: natural fermentation, traditional large old wooden vats, and maturation in new oak barrels for about 16 to 18 months.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
Best enjoyed with equally refined dishes such as roast pigeon, duck breast, veal, truffle risotto, or wild mushroom dishes. It also pairs beautifully with game birds and delicate preparations of lamb. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decant very cautiously if needed, as older or exceptionally delicate bottles may be best opened gently to preserve their aromatic precision.
