In the glass, the wine shows a bright, luminous pale gold hue, hinting at its freshness and concentration. The nose opens with white flowers, citrus peel, ripe pear and a subtle nutty layer, complemented by a mineral note that reflects its chalky origins. On the palate, it is focused and mouth-filling, with a creamy texture balanced by elegant acidity. The fruit is pure and precise, leading into a long, mineral-driven finish with a subtle saline edge. Thanks to the Magnum format and the wine’s structure, it should continue to develop gracefully over the next several years, gaining additional complexity and depth.

Viininvalmistus
Clos de la Crochette sits on limestone-rich soils in the Mâconnais, where the cool climate and calcareous terroir help produce Chardonnay with freshness, tension and clear mineral definition. The vineyard is farmed biodynamically, with careful hand-harvesting used to preserve fruit quality and selection in the vineyard. Fermentation takes place naturally, and the wine is aged partly in stainless steel and partly in used oak barrels to maintain purity of fruit while adding structure and subtle complexity.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Chardonnay pairs especially well with shellfish, grilled white fish, roast chicken, creamy poultry dishes and delicate mushroom-based recipes. It also works beautifully with soft cheeses and dishes featuring lemon, herbs or butter. Serve at 10-12°C for the best balance of aroma and texture. Decanting is not necessary, but allowing the wine a little time in the glass will help it fully open.
