Domaine des Terres de Velle Chassagne-Montrachet La Platière Blanc 2022 captures the elegance and depth that make Chassagne-Montrachet one of Burgundy’s most celebrated white-wine villages. From a prime east-facing site in the south of the commune, this Chardonnay combines ripe fruit, fine oak influence, and impressive texture in a style that feels both expressive and finely composed.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this white Burgundy shows a bright, polished appearance that hints at its richness and balance. The nose is marked by mature, subtle aromas of pineapple and melon, layered with gentle oak nuance and a refined sense of complexity. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and concentrated, with generous fruit intensity framed by well-integrated barrel character. It finishes with good length, where the fruit lingers красиво and the overall impression is one of depth, harmony, and quiet power. With its structure and élevage, it should continue to develop well over the next few years.

Viininvalmistus
La Platière is located in the southern part of Chassagne-Montrachet and benefits from an east-facing exposure that gives Chardonnay ideal ripening conditions. The grapes are hand-harvested and gently pressed in the cellar before natural settling. Fermentation takes place in oak barrels, 30% of which are new, followed by full malolactic fermentation and aging for up to 18 months in barrel.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This wine pairs beautifully with roasted fish or grilled poultry, where its depth and subtle oak can complement richer textures without overwhelming the dish. Serve it at around 10–12°C to bring out both freshness and complexity. Decanting is not essential, though a short aeration can help open the wine if enjoyed young.
