Domaine des Terres de Velle Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru Les Referts 2019 Magnum is a rare and highly sought-after expression of one of Burgundy’s most esteemed Chardonnay sites. Sourced from just 0.12 hectares, producing only around 750 bottles a year, this magnum offers both exclusivity and the added benefit of graceful aging. Les Referts sits on the edge of Meursault, beside Les Perrières, on one of the finest stretches of the Côte d’Or, a terroir long revered for producing wines of remarkable precision and depth.

Viininvalmistus
Les Referts is a Premier Cru vineyard in Puligny-Montrachet, positioned close to the Meursault border and adjacent to Les Perrières, on a prized section of Burgundy’s golden slope. The grapes are harvested from a tiny parcel owned by Domaine des Terres de Velle, which helps ensure careful selection and limited production. Vinification is traditional, with fermentation and aging in oak barrels, including about 40% new oak, followed by up to 18 months of maturation before bottling without filtration.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is a beautiful match for grilled turbot with beurre blanc, where the wine’s intensity and freshness complement the richness of the sauce. It would also pair well with lobster, roast chicken with cream-based sauces, or fine shellfish dishes. Serve at around 10–12°C, and decanting is not essential, though a short aeration can help the wine open if enjoyed young.
