Domaine Dujac Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru 2009 is a beautifully composed expression of one of Gevrey-Chambertin’s most revered sites, offering the rare combination of power, precision, and grace. Sourced from the prestigious Charmes parcel and crafted from old Pinot Noir vines, it reflects both the pedigree of the terroir and Domaine Dujac’s signature style. The 2009 vintage has now developed into a harmonious, polished wine that shows classic Grand Cru depth with remarkable finesse.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this wine shows a deep ruby color that hints at its concentration and maturity. The nose is layered and inviting, with dark cherry, blackberry, forest floor, and subtle spice unfolding with time in the glass. On the palate, it is concentrated yet elegant, with silky tannins, balanced acidity, and a distinct mineral line that carries the wine through a long, refined finish. The 2009 vintage is already beautifully integrated, but it still has the structure and balance to continue aging gracefully for years to come.

Viininvalmistus
The wine comes from the Charmes parcel in Gevrey-Chambertin, where limestone and clay soils, together with old Pinot Noir vines, contribute to the wine’s intensity, texture, and finesse. The grapes are harvested by hand and vinified with a high proportion of whole clusters, adding complexity, aromatic lift, and structural balance. After fermentation, the wine is matured in French oak barrels, with a moderate share of new oak used to add depth and gentle spice without masking the fruit.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Grand Cru pairs wonderfully with elegant dishes such as roast duck, game bird, beef fillet, mushroom risotto, or slow-cooked lamb. Serve at around 16–18°C to allow the aromas and texture to shine. Decanting for 1–2 hours is recommended, especially if opened in its earlier stages of development.

Based in Morey-Saint-Denis, the domaine has played a significant role in defining a modern yet deeply traditional style of Burgundy. Its wines are widely admired for their aromatic complexity, purity, and ability to age with exceptional finesse.
