Domaine Dujac Echezeaux Grand Cru 2010

Domaine Dujac Échézeaux Grand Cru 2010 is a beautifully composed Burgundy from one of the region’s most revered vineyards, capturing the depth and refinement that make Échézeaux so highly prized. Crafted from Pinot Noir and shaped by old vines, limestone- and clay-rich soils, and Dujac’s signature use of whole clusters, this is a Grand Cru that balances power with remarkable finesse. The 2010 vintage adds an appealing sense of freshness and structure, giving the wine both immediate charm and the potential to evolve gracefully.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby colour, hinting at both concentration and maturity. The nose is expressive and layered, with dark cherry, blackberry, forest floor, and subtle spice notes unfolding with air. The palate is concentrated yet elegant, with silky tannins, balanced acidity, and a distinct mineral edge that carries through to a long, polished finish. Now entering a more mature phase, the 2010 vintage is drinking beautifully, but it still has enough vitality and structure to continue developing complexity over time.

Viininvalmistus
The grapes come from the prestigious slopes of Échézeaux in Bourgogne, where limestone and clay soils and old Pinot Noir vines contribute depth, finesse, and structure. The fruit is hand-harvested and vinified with a significant proportion of whole clusters to enhance aromatic complexity and balance. After fermentation, the wine is aged in French oak barrels, with a moderate share of new oak adding spice and depth without overshadowing the wine’s natural elegance.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Grand Cru pairs wonderfully with duck breast, roasted game bird, veal, mushroom risotto, or classic Burgundy dishes such as coq au vin. Serve at around 16–18°C for the best expression of its perfume and texture. Decanting is recommended if enjoyed young or if you’d like to open up the wine’s aromas, though a mature bottle may only need a brief decant.
