Domaine Dujac Morey-Saint-Denis 2008 is a refined expression of Pinot Noir from one of Burgundy’s most characterful villages. Sourced from several parcels around Morey-Saint-Denis, it captures the domaine’s signature style: precision, purity, and an elegant balance of structure and finesse. The cool 2008 vintage lends extra lift and definition, making this a particularly graceful and transparent example of classic Morey-Saint-Denis.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this wine shows a clear ruby-red color with inviting aromas of red cherries, raspberries, forest floor, and subtle spice from oak aging. The bouquet is elegant rather than forceful, with a freshness that speaks to both the vintage and the domaine’s restrained approach. On the palate, it is linear and poised, with bright acidity, finely woven tannins, and a distinct mineral edge that carries through to a long, polished finish. Now more mature after over a decade and a half, the 2008 has developed a harmonious, settled character while retaining plenty of energy and vitality. It should continue to drink beautifully for some time, though it is already at an excellent stage.

Viininvalmistus
This wine comes from several parcels around Morey-Saint-Denis, where limestone-rich soils and old Pinot Noir vines contribute to the wine’s structure, tension, and finesse. The grapes were partially destemmed before fermentation with native yeasts, a method that helps preserve the wine’s sense of place and aromatic purity. It was then matured in French oak barrels, including a notable proportion of new oak, to add subtle complexity without overshadowing the fruit.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is an excellent partner for roast duck, veal, game birds, mushroom dishes, or lamb prepared simply with herbs. It also pairs well with earthy vegetarian dishes such as porcini risotto or lentil-based preparations. Serve at around 15–17°C, and consider decanting for 30–60 minutes if opening it now, especially if you want to help the aromas fully open.
