Domaine François Bertheau Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru 2023 is a beautifully poised Burgundy that captures the elegance and charm of Chambolle-Musigny at its best. Sourced from fruit from three different parcels, it combines finesse with more depth and structure than the village-level wine, offering a more complete and expressive take on this historic appellation.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this Pinot Noir shows the lifted, translucent beauty typical of great Chambolle-Musigny, with a graceful color and inviting brightness. The nose is layered with sweet red berries, cassis, peonies, and a subtle hint of dark chocolate, giving it both floral precision and darker, more seductive depth. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with a juicier and more muscular core than the Chambolle AOC, yet it remains refined and elegant throughout. There is generous fruit, a fine underlying structure, and a long, harmonious finish that should allow it to age gracefully over the coming years, gaining complexity and silkiness with time in bottle.

Viininvalmistus
This 1er Cru is assembled from fruit grown in three separate parcels, giving the wine added dimension and balance. At Domaine François Bertheau, the grapes are fully de-stemmed and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks over two to three weeks, followed by élevage with very little new oak, which rarely exceeds 10%, preserving purity, transparency, and the character of the fruit.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
Serve this wine with roast duck, grilled quail, veal tenderloin, mushroom dishes, or refined poultry preparations, as well as truffled risotto or soft, creamy cheeses. It is best enjoyed at around 15–17°C, and while decanting is not strictly necessary, a short decant may help open up the aromatics if the wine is served young.
