In the glass, this Pinot Noir typically shows a bright ruby color with youthful clarity. The nose is distinctly Pinot-driven, with aromas of red cherry, raspberry, and subtle floral notes, supported by gentle oak spice and a touch of earthy depth. On the palate, Les Vasées is round, supple, and well-textured, with a deliciously generous fruit profile and a smooth, cohesive mouthfeel. The oak ageing adds quiet complexity without dominating the wine, while the finish remains fresh and refined. It is well suited to aging, and is recommended for drinking around 5–7 years after the vintage, when its fruit and texture will be beautifully integrated.

Les Vasées comes from one of the Premier Cru vineyards in Mercurey, a respected part of the Côte Chalonnaise in Burgundy, where Pinot Noir benefits from limestone-rich soils and a climate that can deliver both ripeness and freshness. The grapes are harvested with care, and the wine is matured for 12 months in oak barrels, including 30% new oak, before being lightly filtered and bottled. This approach preserves the purity of the fruit while adding structure and subtle complexity.

This is a versatile Burgundy that pairs well with roasted poultry, duck breast, mushroom dishes, pork tenderloin, and refined game birds. It also works beautifully with earthy vegetarian dishes and medium-aged cheeses. Serve slightly cool, ideally around 15–16°C, and consider decanting for 20–30 minutes if drinking young to help the aromatics open up.
